CUBASE 10?

Last week good ole STEINBERG announced CUBASE 10. As some of you may know I am a fan of CUBASE & have been for many years.

So what's new in CUBASE 10? Here are a few new features:


  • MIXCONSOLE SNAPSHOTS- As a mix engineer I think this is great idea. It easily allows you to recall different mixes
  • VARIAUDIO 3- Vocal editing etc is now more flexible & features smart controls. The one feature I would still like to see is polyphonic editing. (Maybe STEINBERG will introduce this In the future)
  • AUDIO ALIGNMENT- Easily align audio to a reference track
  • EFFECTS IN THE MEDIA RACK- you can now drag & drop FX & instruments etc
  • VIRTUAL REALITY SUITE
  • NEW CHANNEL STRIP
I think STEINBERG have introduced some good new features. However, one of the features I would like to see in the future is Audio to Midi (monophonic & polyphonic)

STEINBERG do seem to listen to user requests. That is really good.

Again CUBASE 10 comes in 3 versions: ELEMENTS, ARTIST & PRO

CUBASE & LOGIC PRO X- BYPASS ALL PLUGINS!

A few weeks ago someone posted in Facebook group about how to Bypass ALL plugins in Cubase 8.5. (As some of you may know i use Cubase 8.5 in the main studio). It's a lot quicker than turning off each individual plugin. Here's how to do this: CUBASE- Go to File  Key Commands  Mixer (Section) Bypass Inserts Type in box a key (e.g. B etc) Assign OK When you press that key all plugins should be bypassed on the mixer LOGIC PRO X- As far as i know at the moment you cannot just press one button/ key & turn all the plugins off simultaneously. If you've ever heard a song & thought "Hold on, I recognise some of this". Maybe that's because the song you are listening to contains a sample of another song. PEDAL STEEL SYNTH?

Synthesizers use oscillators to create a tone. Sound Source synth uses strings.
