FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK: KIP JACKSON

Hi! Everyone, This weeks 'FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK is the talented musician- singer-songwriter KIP JACKSON 1. Please introduce yourself My name is Kip Jackson. I am a 22-year-old singer songwriter from Athens, Georgia. I’ve been playing music since I was in 6th grade.  2. How did you get into music? I was exposed to music when I was very little. My dad played classical music and jazz while I slept from the day I was born. I remember vividly staying awake all night listening to John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” during the summer. During middle school I played trumpet in the school band. I stopped playing during high school but after I graduated, I became re obsessed with jazz and bought a digital piano. I quickly took to the instrument and digested every piece of knowledge I could. Then I heard a live version of “Neon” by John Mayer. I was blown away by his guitar playing and bought an acoustic guitar soon after. I didn’t take to guitar quite the same as piano. In my opinion

OSMOSE?

Time for another keyboard (No its not from BEHRINGER, lol).  This is keyboard is called: OSMOSE. This keyboard is slightly different from other keyboards. Why? Well every note can be Curved, Articulated & Swelled. Every key has 3D controls. You can: Press, Shake, Tap, Press & Tap, Strum, Pitch & Aftertouch each note.  The Synthesiser sounds are from EAGANMATRIX, a polyphonic modular synthesiser. At the time of writing this you can reserve the OSMOSE from  discover-osmose  . It's around €299. I do like the idea of this keyboard. I would like to try it sometime. Maybe this could be the future of keyboards. I don't know Until next time Law OFFICIAL WEBSITE LW MUSIC SERVICES (Mixing & Mastering) TWITTER FACEBOOK (Law) FACEBOOK (LW Music Services) FACEBOOK (The Solar Project) YOUTUBE

My Parents used to play records on the turntable when I was a kid and it’s always something that has fascinated me. Back then it was The Beatles records that really got me. My Dad would play Queen too but I’ve never got on with them... Fleetwood Mac, The Kinks, The Stones all that stuff as a kid... I was heavily into Britpop – Blur, Oasis and Pulp in particular. And then puberty hit, I got all moody, discovered Nirvana and Korn and all that angry Nu Metal stuff (I still love Korn and Slipknot)... I bought my first guitar at 14 and got into local bands and I’ve been in love with making music since.

This weeks 'Featured Artist of the Week' is the talented pianist, singer-songwriter, musician & composer LAPTOP PHILHARMONIC  1.Please introduce yourself Hi, I'm Laptop Philharmonic, once described as a producer of "piano-led progressive electronica" which is the best label for my music anyone has come up with so far. 2. I started piano lessons not long after, but it wasn't really until my mid-teens that I started to think about music seriously. It was hearing the fast movement of Beethoven's famous Moonlight Sonata that convinced me playing the piano could actually be cool, and it was probably the Final Fantasy game sound tracks that first made me think about writing my own music. 3. What instruments do you play? Piano, laptop and voice I guess! Also technically the recorder, but I haven't done that
