 Hi! Everyone & welcome back to my blog. Recently I got back in to playing guitar a lot more (I suppose it's more guitar noodling 😂😂. I enjoy playing along to songs & backing tracks. This month a decided to create 3 'Ambient backing tracks'. I am planning to release more backing tracks in the future.You can stream & purchase on 'Bandcamp' 'Ambient Backing Track in Am (100bpm)' 'Ambient Backing Track in Dm (100bpm)' 'Ambient Backing Track in Em' (85bpm)' TAYLOR SWIFT became the first ever artist to have 10 songs in the Top 10 Billboard charts at the same time. I think that is some achievement. I don't think it's easy getting into the charts at all these days. It features: Touchscreen XLR/ Jack combo inputs Powered by AC adaptor, Batteries or USB FM Synthesiser with 18 sounds Effects (EQ, Compressor etc) Built in Metronome 48v (for condenser mics) The price has not yet been announced (as of writing this) IK MULTIMEDIA are back with some more guitar software: TONE X. Hi! Everyone & welcome back to my music blog. Recently I decided to buy a new guitar. (There's nothing wrong with my old guitar. I just wanted a bit of a change). The good thing is is that i'm playing guitar a lot more now. Im really enjoying it. Ive played guitar on & off for years. It's been great playing guitar again (The cheesy 80s etc,😂😂) Also, for many years I play piano/ keyboards. I have to say i've never played a piano whilst its moving. However, there is now a piano called: 'The Strolling Piano'. This is a mobile piano that you can perform, sing etc whilst moving around the audience. Place the 'tonearm' on your smartphone. The music plays like 'vinyl' WINDER- A music box key that will connect with your smartphone. When it's wound up it will play 'one' song  MUSICLIGHT- This is a 'Candle' that when lit up plays music from your smartphone. To stop the music just blow the candle out. The 3 bags are created with musicians, producers etc in mind.  Hi! Everyone, hope you are all ok. Welcome to my new monthly blog.  In recent weeks: PLUGIN ALLIANCE, BRAINWORX,  IZOTOPE, NATIVE INSTRUMENTS & SOUNDSTACKS  have all teamed up with SOUNDWIDE. I think the idea of SOUNDWIDE is to create an ecosystem of audio creation products. Some of you may have already seen the SOUNDWIDE intro offer. At the moment i'm kinda liking this idea of brands teaming up together. I'll be interested to see what happens in the future with this.  A few weeks ago SUPERBOOTH 2022 was back. Here's a look at some of the music technology that was announced  OBERHEIM OB-X8- This synth builds on the legacy of 3 of their previous synths (OB-X, OB-Xa & OB-8). This is an all analogue synth. SOMA LABS- TERRA- This looks a bit of an odd synth? Its a microtonal synth which is kinda enclosed within a varnished slab of wood that is cut from a tree trunk. Also has 32 sounds.  DYSON have announced 'Air-Purifying Headphones'. Yes, you did read that correctly. These headphones are bluetooth & noise-cancelling. The air purifier is built in via a magnetic face visor. The idea is to reduce is that when wearing these headphones it reduces air & noise pollution. Apparently, the visor does not make contact with your face, it sits on front of your face, creating a gap. The mask is removable, so you can just use the headphones. At the moment of writing this there is no mention of price or when they will be available to purchase (Rumour is around late 2022) Hmmm! Im not sure about these headphones. I can kind of understand maybe why Dyson have created these headphones. They are certainly different.  Universal Audio have announced: 'SPARK'. So what is SPARK? Well, it's a platform that allows you to run their plugins natively without the Universal Audios hardware via subscription. At the time of writing this not all their plugins are available on the 'Spark' platform. (ONLY available on MAC for now. Windows is due later 2022) Here is a list of the plugins (available now): TELETRONIX LA2A COLLECTION API 2500 BUS COMPRESSOR UA 1176 COLLECTION PURE PLATE REVERB GALAXY TAPE ECHO LEXICON 224 DIGITAL REVERB API VISION CHANNEL STRIP PLUS NEVE 1073 PREAMP & EQ STUDER A800 TAPE MACHINE OPAL SYNTHESIZER (Exclusive to SPARK) MOOG MINIMOOG WATERFALL B3 If you own any of the above plugins you should get them for free on UA SPARK via UA CONNECT. (You will need an ILOK account) The subscription is around $20 (plus taxes outside the US).  Im assuming that more plugins will be added soon.  Over the past few months you may of heard of a viral game called: 'WORDLE' (5 letter word game). Well now there is a version for music lovers called: 'HEARDLE'. The idea is that you have to guess the song of the day. You are given up to 6 snippets of the song. You don't have to guess the song for each snippet, you can skip (if that makes any sense? lol). The songs are taken from the most streamed from the past decade.  I like the idea of having a music version.  STEINBERG recently released their latest version of CUBASE. No it wasn't 11.5 it was 12. Normally I would wait a few months before purchasing the latest version. This time I couldn't resist but purchase not long after it was released. As some of you may know, i've been a fan of CUBASE for probably over 20 years now. I'll be honest I like the new features in the latest version.  So what does CUBASE 12 PRO now include? MIDI REMOTE INTERGRATION- Cubase will automatically detect your device & map the controls. (Don't worry if your midi device cannot be detected you can create your own using the: "Midi Surface Control Editor') AUDIO TO MIDI CHORDS AUDIOWARP IMPROVEMENTS FX MODULATOR- This can be useful. (I think its a bit like Cableways Shaperbox. I think Shaperbox has more features?) NO MORE DONGLE- Finally you will no longer need the USB E-licenser to run CUBASE. (However, if you use any of STEINBERG'S other instruments eg. GROOVE AGENT, HALION 6 etc

 POSITIVE GRID are back with a smaller version of their SPARK amp: 'SPARK MINI'. This portable Guitar, Acoustic or Bass amp includes: Bluetooth Speaker USB Rechargeable Battery (up to 8 hours) Smart App Integration  EQ Full Stereo Capture video (using the smart app) 10,000 + Tones Headphone out Line out  Smart Jam (Backing tracks) I am interested in trying this portable mini amp. It does look good. The only thing is is the price. At the time of writing this its around $185/ $189. Hmmm!  KANYE WEST announced that is album: 'DONDA 2' will ONLY be released on what is called a STEM PLAYER.   The STEM PLAYER is a piece of hardware that splits any song into stems. (yes you can put your own music on) So you can isolate the vocals, add effects etc.  It also includes:  Bluetooth 4 touch sensitive light sliders Speaker USB C Power 3.5mm Jack 8GB Storage It supports: Wav, Wave, Mp3, Mp4, AIFF, AIF, FLAC etc It's currently available to purchase at around £200/ $200. The device does sound a like a nice idea. I think its maybe a bit expensive for what it is. If you are KANYE WEST fan then yes its probably something you would like.  Last week MARVIN LEE ADAY better known as MEATLOAF died. His singing career spanned over 6 decades, 100 million albums sold worldwide & starred in over 65 movies. That is an amazing career.  If you are a music lover you will of probably of heard of the album: BAT OUT OF HELL, released in 1977. Some of his  most famous songs were: 'Bat out of hell', 'Two out of three ain't bad' & 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' (all taken from that album). I remember when I was younger, we bought my dad a MEATLOAF DVD for Christmas. I will never forget that Christmas morning was mainly spent watching the video for: 'Dead Ringer for Love'-MEATLOAF & CHER. (I will say it is a good song & video) I was about 14 when  MEATLOAF released the song: 'I'd do anything for love (but I won't do that)'. I remember it being No 1 in the charts for what seemed like ages. This was taken from his: 'BAT OUT OF HELL II' album released in 1993.  O

Imagine listening to a podcast, music, video conference call etc privately, whilst being in a room full of people without wearing headphones? (Hopefully that makes some sense, lol).  NOVETO have created the N1. It uses something called: 'Smart Beaming'. The N1 looks like a 'Sound Bar'. The idea is is that this is kinda an alternative to wearing headphones. Imagine 'Invisible Headphones').  What does this 'Sound bar' do? Well it beams the sound to you without wearing headphones using beam forming technology. It transfers ultrasound, through the air (silently), combining audio pockets outside your ears. The idea is to have a Headphone effect without wearing headphones. Yous should hear about 90% of the sound privately.
