The 'Earth Harp' is the largest stringed instruments in the world. It was created by William Close in around 1999. The first time the 'Earth Harp' was installed it the strings were around 1000 ft long, from one side of a valley to another. How is it played? The player wears violin rosin gloves & runs their hands alomg the strings to create cello like tones. There are a few videos on youtube demonstrating 'The Earth Harp'.
