At work you may be used to background noise of people talking, tapping on computer keyboards etc etc, you may have music played in the background or you may work in complete silence. Does background noise at all increase productivity? Well if you work where you are listening to music in the background & its ambient but you prefer metal music then your productivity could decrease. Its like if you are used to working in a large office with people talking etc & sometimes you work from home then you could miss the background noise. Others like to work whilst in  a coffee shop  & like having the chatter in the background. These days there are a few apps that you can download the creates background noise. I think that for most people background noise can increase productivity, it can change a persons mood & can help concentration. Singer-Songwriter artist MABEL recently performed the world's first 'Vertical Gig' at SAMSUNG KX in London. The idea was so the show could be configured for smartphone footage eg. Instagram, Snapchat etc. The set a had 3 story- stage over 9 metres high. Yes, this is a kinda new idea. Im not sure about it. Would music fans all want to see vertical stages? What about at festivals? How would that work? Hmmm! Im not sure. I mean this could be the future of live show design. PROPELLERHEAD have announced that they are rebranding to REASON STUDIOS. They have also announced REASON 11 & a REASON RACK PLUGIN (which should be able to work in most DAWs by the end of this year). REASON 11 should arrive around 25th Sep 2019. If you already own a version of REASON you should get an upgraded price. (There will be some new features eg, Workflow & Effects etc) If you prefer to work in another DAW, but would like to have REASON effects, instruments etc. Then the REASON RACK PLUGIN could be for you I wonder if other DAWS will have a rack plugin in the future?
