THE RADIATOR THAT GOT IN THE WAY!

As a child i always enjoyed playing piano, keyboard etc. Over the years i had various keyboards, an organ & synths. One instrument i also wanted to learn to play was the piano. In the early 90's i got my first acoustic piano. (As a 11 or 12 year old i never really considered getting a digital piano). We all know that acoustic piano's are not exactly small instruments. So where in the house was the piano going to go? Well, after a bit of re-shuffling a bit of the furniture about we managed to find a place in the living room for it. I had 2 pianos in over 15 years.

So what happened to the piano? Well im afraid a few years ago we were having new radiators installed. Unfortunately one radiator was going to be installed where the piano was. Hmmmmmmm! Sadly there was no other room or space in the house that could accommodate the piano, therefore it had to go.

It's been a few years now & i have to say i still miss my piano. So recently i've been thinking about getting a digital piano (stage piano). I have kind of found space (If i re-jig a few things).

The question is now. Which digital piano? Well, i've tried a few & gone through things i like & don't like eg, Too expensive, keys to sticky, keys are too light etc. One piano i did come across which i thought might be an option was the Yamaha P35B. Anybody got that or played that? What are your thoughts? I would be interested to hear. A friend of mine said what about the Korg SP170s. Hmmmmmmm! Well i've not really had chance to try that yet. Again, anybody got the Korg or have played it? Is it good for the money? Again, i would be interested to hear. Is there any other pianos you think would be suitable? I've not tried any Kawai piano's yet. Heard they are good too.

Anyway, i would like to wish all my fans, friends & family a happy new year.

Until next time

CUBASE & LOGIC PRO X- BYPASS ALL PLUGINS!

A few weeks ago someone posted in Facebook group about how to Bypass ALL plugins in Cubase 8.5. (As some of you may know i use Cubase 8.5 in the main studio). It's a lot quicker than turning off each individual plugin. Here's how to do this: CUBASE- Go to File  Key Commands  Mixer (Section) Bypass Inserts Type in box a key (e.g. B etc) Assign OK When you press that key all plugins should be bypassed on the mixer LOGIC PRO X- As far as i know at the moment you cannot just press one button/ key & turn all the plugins off simultaneously. You can row by row.  Here's a quick video tutorial : Hope this helps Until next time Law Official Website LW Music Services Twitter Facebook (Law) Facebook (LW Music Services) Youtube Instagram Soundbetter
