It's that's time of year again. Yes, more music gear. So what was announced? Here are a few:

  • AKAI MIDImix Daw Controller- I'll be honest there are a lot of Daw Controllers on the market. Is this one much different? It's portable (could be good for live use). I think for around £60 yes it could prove popular.
  • BOSS SY-300 Guitar Synth- An analogue synth for your guitar. Plugin & your guitar (or bass) & create synths sounds (synth filters, LFOS, amps, effects etc. Also can download more sounds from the website). I'll be honest I have played a guitar synth before, back in the mid 90's. Yes, I like the idea.
  • ROLAND JD-XA - At winter NAMM 2015 Roland introduced us to the JD-XI. The JD-XA looks like his big brother. Bringing an analogue & digital crossover. Listening to the demo's the synth sounds very powerful. Really get some good sounds. I would like to try this synth.
If you are a guitarist, one of the most expensive guitars (I've ever heard of) is on display. GIBSON 'Eden of Coronet' SG, with 400 diamonds & 18 carat gold. How much? Around $2,000,000. I don't think I'll be trying the guitar anytime soon.lol.

BARBIE SOUNDTRACK! SUMMER DAYS? NEXG GUITAR!

Hi! Everyone, Hope you are all ok. Welcome back to my music blog. As you may be aware the 'BARBIE' movie was released last month (July 2023). The soundtrack is a recordbreaker. It is the first film soundtrack to have 3 Top 5 songs in the UK charts simultaneously: 'Dance The Night'-DUA LIPA 'What Was I Made For?'- BILLIE EILISH 'Barbie World- NICKI MINAJ, AQUA & ICE SPICE It has 6 songs from the soundtrack in the Top 40  The first film soundtrack to score 3 Top 10 hits simultaneously was 'SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER' (1978). SUMMER DAYS- I know its been a while since i've released anything from the forthcoming 'Miami 1984' EP. Everyone, this week's FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK is the very talented  singer-songwriter, musician  & producer JELLY CLEAVER JELLY CLEAVER Please introduce yourself I’m a singer-songwriter, jazz guitarist and producer. I’m also an activist and this really influences my music and the lyrics I write. I love lots of different genres so have quite an eclectic style and like to throw myself into different music scenes.
