Wow! I cannot believe Kylie is 50 now. What a great career she has had & still has. I remember as a young child back in the 80s listening to Kylie Minogue's music. Me & my friends singing: 'I should be so lucky, lucky, lucky lucky' at school.lol. School discos would be the girls forming a chain to dance to: 'The Locomotion', ๐๐. The couples dance would be: 'Especially for you'-KYLIE & JASON, ๐๐.
So yes I've kinda grown up listening to Kylie Minogue.
At senior school when I was around 15 I remember one of my school friends saying about when we were 18 we should go & see Kylie Minogue live. Honestly, me & my other friends kinda laughed & thought: "Hmmmmm! I wonder Kylie would still be as popular or any good when we are 18"
How wrong were we! Kylie was still having successful hits at this time.
In 2000 Kylie came back wearing a pair of gold hot pants for her song: 'Spinning Around' (Taken from her album: 'Lights Years', a great album) This album kinda had a disco feel. At the time I have to say this was my favourite Kylie album yet & probably still is.
A year later in 2001 Kylie released the album 'Fever'. I have to say I like the album. This album had one of her biggest hits on: 'Can't get you out of my head'. What a great song! (Altogether now " La la la la la la la", you get the idea and the dance moves as well๐๐). The song was played pretty music everywhere.
It was'nt until 2002 when I thought about possibly seeing Kylie live in concert ( I will admit I did purchase the 'Fever' Live DVD & thought it was really good. Something I never thought that I would do).
It is now 2018 & Kylie Minogue is still going strong with her new album that is country & dance inspired: 'Golden'.
Over the years Kylie has been a gay icon, playing at various gay clubs & festivals.
I think Kylie will be around for a while yet.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLIE MINOGUE!
Until next time
