These days there are quite a few music production software to choose from. As i've said before it is what works best for you. Which software you find comfortable to make music with.
One popular DAW software is ABLETON. Well, ABLETON could have some competition with MOTU DIGITAL PERFORMER 10. I'll be honest when I first looked at DIGITAL PERFORMER 10 it really did remind me of ABLETON with the layout. If you are a fan of ABLETON then I think DIGITAL PERFORMER could be worth a look.

I think DIGITAL PERFORMER 10 could be a serious competitor to ABLETON. I think it could be good for live use as well.
