1.Please introduce yourself

David Oakes. Used to be a drummer in Kotow. Now making music on my own.

2. What instruments do you play?

Guitar and drums :)

3. Who are your influences?

Metallica. U2. Oasis. Green Day. Mastodon. Dream Theater. Leftfield. Prodigy

4. Tell us about your latest release

Elevation is a 30 minute - 8 track instrumental album of electro funk rock. And a bit of disco and Punk!

5. Whats your songwriting process?

I come up with an idea on guitar and then make a scratch drum loop to see how it sounds.

I then add bass and synths etc. I do drum editing last as it's the most boring part !

6. Which musician/ artist would you most like to collaborate with & why?

The Edge - U2

Billie Joe - Green Day

Noel Gallagher - Oasis

7. If you were on a desert island what 3 musical gear would you take?

My cheapest ones so the sand and sea would not ruin them.

GRANDE ARTIST?

ARIANA GRANDE is no stranger to the charts. Recently ARIANA managed to get the top 1, 2 & 3 spots on the billboard top 100 charts simultaneously. The last time this happened was in 1964 by THE BEATLES who got all 5 top spots. At the moment 11 songs from her album 'Thank you, Next' album are in the top 40. (The only song from the album that hasn't made the top 40 is 'Make up'). DRAKE nearly managed this when 2 of his songs were at spots 1 & 2 & 4 simultaneously. Hi! Everyone, Hope you are all ok. Welcome back to my music blog. Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me & my music over the past year. A huge thank you to everyone who has read this blog, streamed/ purchased my music, continued to support me etc😃😃. I'll be honest its been very tough year for me due to personal reasons. However, I did finally release my ' Miami 1984' EP which i'm very pleased about (Featuring a song with the talented songwriter Niamh Quinn).
