LOU OTTENS was a Dutch Engineer who invented the cassette tape (& helped develop the compact disc) I remember as a child having cassette tapes (I've still got some cassette tapes). Remembering the days when you would listen to the radio & waiting until your favourite song came on & then making sure you pressed record at the right time (when the radio DJ was'nt talking over the top of it, lol).
When I was a teenager at college studying music i recorded my music onto a four-track recorder (I think I've still got it somewhere & maybe some of the cassette tapes with my compositions on). You would then bounce your finished song to 2-track (stereo).
Today some bands & artists are releasing music on cassette tape.
Until next time
