SHOULD I UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 11 OR OS MONTEREY?

Hi! Everyone, As you maybe aware Microsoft announced Windows 11 & Apple announced OS Monterey recently.

Let's start with Windows 11. In 2015 Windows 10 was released. I'll be honest I didn't upgrade to Windows 10 for a few years. All my music production software was working with Windows 7. Then, as time went on some companies started to drop Windows 7 support & my computer needed a new graphics card etc. Thats when it was time for me to upgrade to Windows 10. The important thing is to make sure that all your software will work with Windows 11. My advice is to probably wait until you know that all your software etc will work on Windows 11 before upgrading.

Now onto OS Monterey. As far was I'm aware Apple announce a new OS every year. I think it can be hard to keep up. I don't upgrade the Mac OS every year. Again, it's what software you use & whether it will work with OS Monterey. For example if you are using Logic Pro X you need OS 11.0 (Big Sur) or higher. Again, I would wait to upgrade to OS Monterey till all your software will work with the upgrade.

CUBASE & LOGIC PRO X- BYPASS ALL PLUGINS!

A few weeks ago someone posted in Facebook group about how to Bypass ALL plugins in Cubase 8.5. (As some of you may know i use Cubase 8.5 in the main studio). It's a lot quicker than turning off each individual plugin. Here's how to do this: CUBASE- Go to File Key Commands Mixer (Section) Bypass Inserts Type in box a key (e.g. B etc) Assign OK When you press that key all plugins should be bypassed on the mixer LOGIC PRO X- As far as i know at the moment you cannot just press one button/ key & turn all the plugins off simultaneously. You can row by row.
