Last week MARVIN LEE ADAY better known as MEATLOAF died. His singing career spanned over 6 decades, 100 million albums sold worldwide & starred in over 65 movies. That is an amazing career.
If you are a music lover you will of probably of heard of the album: BAT OUT OF HELL, released in 1977. Some of his most famous songs were: 'Bat out of hell', 'Two out of three ain't bad' & 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' (all taken from that album).
I remember when I was younger, we bought my dad a MEATLOAF DVD for Christmas. I will never forget that Christmas morning was mainly spent watching the video for: 'Dead Ringer for Love'-MEATLOAF & CHER. (I will say it is a good song & video)
I was about 14 when MEATLOAF released the song: 'I'd do anything for love (but I won't do that)'. I remember it being No 1 in the charts for what seemed like ages. This was taken from his: 'BAT OUT OF HELL II' album released in 1993.
One of his most well know film roles was: 'EDDIE' in the 'ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW', released 1975. He also had parts in films such as: 'FIGHT CLUB', 'WAYNES WORLD' & SPICE THE MOVIE (Spice Girls)' etc.
Random fact about MEATLOAF. The song: 'Total Eclipse of the heart'-BONNIE TYLER, written by JIM STEINMAN (who also wrote: 'Bat out of Hell') was apparently going to be given to MEATLOAF to record (the record company passed).
Im sure MEATLOAF will be know as a rock icon
RIP MEATLOAF😞😞
UNTIL NEXT TIME
