CUBASE 12?

 STEINBERG recently released their latest version of CUBASE. No it wasn't 11.5 it was 12. Normally I would wait a few months before purchasing the latest version. This time I couldn't resist but purchase not long after it was released. As some of you may know, i've been a fan of CUBASE for probably over 20 years now. I'll be honest I like the new features in the latest version. 

So what does CUBASE 12 PRO now include?

  • MIDI REMOTE INTERGRATION- Cubase will automatically detect your device & map the controls. (Don't worry if your midi device cannot be detected you can create your own using the: "Midi Surface Control Editor')
  • AUDIO TO MIDI CHORDS
  • AUDIOWARP IMPROVEMENTS
  • FX MODULATOR- This can be useful. (I think its a bit like Cableways Shaperbox. I think Shaperbox has more features?)
  • NO MORE DONGLE- Finally you will no longer need the USB E-licenser to run CUBASE. (However, if you use any of STEINBERG'S other instruments eg. GROOVE AGENT, HALION 6 etc you will probably still need to use the USB e-licenser for now. I think that may change in the future)
  • VERVE- A felt piano
  • NATIVE APPLE SILCON
  • DOLBY ATMOS etc
There are 5 version of CUBASE 12:

  • CUBASE LE 12
  • CUBASE AI 12
  • CUBASE ELEMENTS 12
  • CUBASE ARTIST 12
  • CUBASE PRO 12
(If you have a previous version of CUBASE there should be an upgrade option)

BARBIE SOUNDTRACK! SUMMER DAYS? NEXG GUITAR!

Hi! Everyone, Hope you are all ok. Welcome back to my music blog. As you may be aware the 'BARBIE' movie was released last month (July 2023). The soundtrack is a recordbreaker. It is the first film soundtrack to have 3 Top 5 songs in the UK charts simultaneously: 'Dance The Night'-DUA LIPA 'What Was I Made For?'- BILLIE EILISH 'Barbie World- NICKI MINAJ, AQUA & ICE SPICE It has 6 songs from the soundtrack in the Top 40  The first film soundtrack to score 3 Top 10 hits simultaneously was 'SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER' (1978).
