SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA have teamed you with IKEA to create a take on IKEAS 'Fractal' Blue bags. The 3 bags are created with musicians, producers etc in mind. The 3 bags are:
- ACCESSORY BAG- Cables etc
- SHOULDER BAG - DJ Set, Laptop etc
- SQUARE BAG- Vinyl etc
This is not the only thing SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA are creating with IKEA. They are also creating a MUSIC PRODUCTION DESK with moveable speaker stands & a pull out shelf.
NAMM 2022 (Summer) took place this month. So what did NAMM have in store for us? Here are some gear announcements:
- NOVATION LAUNCHKEY MK 3 88- Semi-weighted keys, 16 pads, 9 faders, 9 pots etc. If you are looking for a 88 midi keyboard for studio or touring with then this could be worth looking at.
- NOVATION FL KEY MINI- Fruity Loops users might be interested to know there is now a dedicated midi keyboard for the DAW.There are 2 versions (25 or 37 key)
- CREAM GUITARS- The Spanish guitar maker made their debut at NAMM 2022. They introduced the 'Revolver' & 'Electric' ranges
- MELBOURNE INSTRUMENTS NINA- This is a desktop 12-voice analogue synth, motorised controls etc
- DONNER B1 SYN BASS- This is a monophonic analogue synth & sequencer
- ARTIPHON ORBA 2- This is circular synth. Very portable etc
MAGIX is back with an updated version of their DAW: ACID PRO 11. It includes:
- SAMPLER
- ACID LOOPS
- BEATMAP
- MORPH PADS
- BRAINWORX PLUGIN PACKAGE
- MULTITRACK RECORDING
- ARA 2 SUPPORT (MELODYNE ESSENTIAL 5 is included)
- CD BURNING
- AUDIO ENCODING ETC
I think it does have some good features included. You can either purchase: ACID PRO 11 & ACID PRO SUITE 11. Or you can subscribe to the ACID PRO 365 & choose a payment plan.
STEINBERG are back with new software: VST LIVE. Could this be the ultimate live performance system?
It features:
- TRACKS- MIDI & Pre-recorded audio etc
- MULTITRACK RECORDING- Record your performance
- SEQUENCER WITH CLICK TRACK
- DMX- Control your stage lighting etc
- MIXER
- EFFECTS etc
This does look impressive for live software. There are 2 versions: LIVE PRO & LIVE ELEMENTS.
NETFLIX hit series ‘STRANGER THINGS’ helped KATE BUSH achieve a UK NO.1 with the song: ‘Running up that hill (Deal with God)’. The song was first released in 1985. Also KATE BUSH is the youngest & oldest female artist to have a self written Number 1 song. She was 19 when she had the Number 1 song ‘Wuthering Heights’. I like KATE BUSH. I think she has made some great songs & albums. I was really pleased the song: ‘Running up that Hill’ No.1.
