ENDLESS BEAT MACHINE! SHAKIRA!

Hi! Everyone & welcome back to my music blog.

TIM EXILE (Endless founder) is back with BEAT MACHINE. If you are thinking an ordinary drum machine you would be wrong. This is in fact an retro style arcade games machine.

It features:

  • 24-inch touchscreen
  • 5-inch XY touchpad
  • Arcade style controls (eg Joystick, Buttons etc)
  • 3 operating modes (Studio-Daw like experience , Arcade- More for entertainment  & Open mic-Live interactive platform)

If you would like to purchase an 'Off Grid' ( only 4 will be made) Beat Machine its around $11,999. There will also be 20 Beat Machines will be available for $9,999 & 1 Special Edition will be made (I think you have to request the price of that one).

Colombian Singer SHAKIRA & Argentine DJ & Producer BIZARRAP have broken Guinness World records with 'Music Sessions Vol 53'. The latin song reached 100 million views on YouTube within 24 hours. This is the fastest latin song which has reached this amount. Also, it was the fastest streamed latin song on Spotify with 14,393,342 listens. Not only that SHAKIRA also broke records:

  • First female vocalist with a Spanish language track to debut in the Top 10 of the billboard charts
  • Most No 1s on Latin Billboard chart
  • First female artist to replace herself at No.1 on the Latin Billboard airplay charts etc

Until next time

FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK: JELLY CLEAVER

Hi! Everyone, this week's FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK is the very talented  singer-songwriter, musician  & producer JELLY CLEAVER JELLY CLEAVER Please introduce yourself I’m a singer-songwriter, jazz guitarist and producer. I’m also an activist and this really influences my music and the lyrics I write. I love lots of different genres so have quite an eclectic style and like to throw myself into different music scenes. I’m really into the jazz scene and the punk/DIY scene in London at the moment.   How did you get into music? I started playing guitar as soon as I could hold one pretty much because my dad was a guitar teacher, and I’ve always had a really deep connection to music. I’ve tried lots of different aspects of music out though, from leading an African singing and drumming ensemble to starting a rock band. I just love music in all its forms.   What instruments do you play? Guitar’s my first instrument but when I’m reco...

LESS IS MORE

When mixing you need to create space. It's so easy to keep adding different instruments when recording. However, when it comes to mixing you'll probably end up with 2 or more instruments fighting for the same frequency. So what do you do? Well, Firstly it depends on the instruments. Sometimes you may have to be harsh & think: "Do i really need these 2 parts or can i mute one (or even delete)?" This is what i normally do. Now maybe you're thinking: "What about using EQ?" Or "Why not use panning?" Yes i could use these tools. However is this additional sound going to add anything to the mix? Is this part necessary? If not, then im afraid the part either gets muted or deleted. A few days ago i was recording some vocals, for a middle 8 (on a new song). Let's just say i got a bit carried away & ended up recording a few harmony parts too many. I can tell you now that some of those harmony parts will probably be muted. (Why were thos...
