WAVES AUDIO? RODES MIC? NEBULA BACKING TRACKS! NAMM 2023!

WAVES AUDIO announced that their plugins would be subscription only.After reading comments from loyal users of waves plugins who lets say were not very happy, waves changed their tune & decided to bring perpetual licenses back (as well as a subscription).Yes, there will still be a waves subscription but perpetual licenses will be coming back.   I'll be honest i've not used Waves plugins for many years now. Some of the plugins I did like. One of the reasons is because of the waves update plan (which i believe will still be in place when the perpetual licenses are back). 

  RODES are back with another wireless Mic called the Rode Wireless ME

 It features:

  • Dual Microphone system (Transmitter & receiver)
  • Can handle SPL levels of around 122db (Also, come with Gain assist to avoid clipping)
  • Up to 100 Metre Range 
  • USB C
  • 2.4 GHZ Transmission
  • Works with iPhones, Android phones, computers & cameras
  • 7 hours battery life
  • All the cables you will need to get started 
At the time of writing this its around £159. If you are a vlogger etc & looking for something portable that has good quality audio then this might be worth looking at.

NEBULA BACKING TRACKS are back with a brand new 'Original' Backing Track. This time 'Synthwave'

NAMM 2023! This year NAMM took place in April. So what was announced? Here is some of the music gear that was announced:
  • MELBOURNE INSTRUMENTS NINA- This is a 12-voice analogue polysynth with motorized knobs  (I have to say it does look interesting)
  • SOUND PARTICLES SKYDUST 3D- This is the first ever spatial synthesiser plugin 
  • IBANEZ LAUNCHED 7 SIGNATURE MODELS- I do like Ibanez guitars. They do have some nice signature series guitars. The signature series launched: Martin Miller, Lari Basilio, Joe Satriani (2 guitars) Steve Vai, Paul Stanley & Ichika  Nito 
  • SOUNDTOYS SUPERPLATE- This is like the big brother to their ‘Little Plate’ plugin. It does look good but I’m not sure about the upgrade price (from ‘Little Plate’) at around $59. For around $50 you can get Valhalla Plate.

BARBIE SOUNDTRACK! SUMMER DAYS? NEXG GUITAR!

Hi! Everyone, Hope you are all ok. Welcome back to my music blog. As you may be aware the 'BARBIE' movie was released last month (July 2023). The soundtrack is a recordbreaker. It is the first film soundtrack to have 3 Top 5 songs in the UK charts simultaneously: 'Dance The Night'-DUA LIPA 'What Was I Made For?'- BILLIE EILISH 'Barbie World- NICKI MINAJ, AQUA & ICE SPICE It has 6 songs from the soundtrack in the Top 40  The first film soundtrack to score 3 Top 10 hits simultaneously was 'SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER' (1978).
