PHONOCUT?

As Vinyl has made a comeback,  some musicians are now looking at getting their music on Vinyl.  What if you cut your own Vinyl at home? Well a new Kickstarter project has been launched for the: Phonocut. The Phonocut has been described as "idiot proof " by co-founder Florian Kaps. It is a portable Vinyl lathe. You need an audio source & a blank acetate (no details of what sort of disc mention yet) A diamond stylus cuts the 10" vinyl. Each side can hold between around 10-15 mins.  The price is around €999 as a limited pre-order This could be a good idea for musicians. We'll have to see. The bass design is kinda like a Fender Jazz Bass. I have to say the guitar does look quite impressive & clever. Hi! Everyone, This weeks FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK is the talented electronic musician & songwriter ALEX STORER  (THE LIGHT DREAMS)  1.Please introduce yourself My name is Alex Storer, and I'm an artist/illustrator and electronic musician from Sheffield. I've been recording under the name 'The Light Dreams', since 2006, and have been independently releasing my work since 2012.  2. How did you get into music? I was a passionate music  fan  for many years (still am), and as an artist, having music playing was always a key part of my creative process. However there came a point in the late 90s when I was no longer content at just  listening  to music. I wanted to be making it... despite having no formal training whatsoever! However at the time, I simply couldn't afford the gear I'd need. Fast forward to 2006 when I bought a new Apple Mac – by coincidence it came with GarageBand – and that was an entirely unexpected eureka m...
