1. Please introduce yourself
Howdy Howdy my name is Sonya Jevette

2. How did you get into music?
I started singing at the age of 5 in church

3. What instruments do you play?
I sing. I play guitar, drums, bass, piano. I played clarinet in middle school

4. Who are your influences?
My mother & father inspire me to be the best I can be in life

5. Tell us about your latest release
My new album is called #2019Superhero. 10 songs. 5 I recorded with my laptop on Garage band. The other four are recorded at Doubledog Recordings with Mike Kosacek

6. Whats your songwriting process?

I created a mathematical formula.

Topic=Beginning middle and end.

Tempo 135. Send a positive message to encourage others to do their best to be the best they can be.

7. If you were on a desert island what 3 musical gear would you take?

A acoustic guitar, back up strings and a tuner/metronome.

Everyone, this week's FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK is the very talented singer-songwriter, musician & producer JELLY CLEAVER JELLY CLEAVER Please introduce yourself I’m a singer-songwriter, jazz guitarist and producer. I’m also an activist and this really influences my music and the lyrics I write. I love lots of different genres so have quite an eclectic style and like to throw myself into different music scenes. I’m really into the jazz scene and the punk/DIY scene in London at the moment. How did you get into music? I started playing guitar as soon as I could hold one pretty much because my dad was a guitar teacher, and I’ve always had a really deep connection to music.
