HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONY WALKMAN!

It was around 1986/87 I had my first walkman. I was very young. I remember it was white. I loved my walkman. I could now listen to cassettes really whenever I wanted. In the 80s the walkman seemed very popular.  People walking down the streets with their headphones on, walkman kinda clipped to their clothes (you couldn't really fit it into a pocket). As a child I loved listening to music so the walkman was brilliant for me. Yes, I'm sure the cassette got stuck a few times & had to be sorted out using a pencil, lol. Making sure we had enough AA batteries in the house in case the 2 batteries needed ran out. The walkman was really the first portable music device, it was available around 1979. Last week the SONY Walkman celebrated its 40th Birthday. Walkmans were manufactured up until 2010. (However you can still purchase Walkmans) These days music has become a lot more portable with iPods, MP3 players, mobile phones etc. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONY WALKMAN! Until next tim...
