MUSIC UPDATE!

 Hi! Everyone, Hope you are all ok. It's been a while since I released any new music. I confirm that THE SOLAR PROJECT is back with a brand new song: 'LIFE GOES ON', which will be released 1.10.21. (More details to follow). It will be available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Bandcamp etc. You can pre-save the song on 'Spotify' life-goes-on .  For further updates feel free to like my facebook page. 


Also I'm working on 2 Eps for my Artist 'LAW' profile. I've been writing & recording some new music for the eps. Also, I’ve collaborated with the talented songwriter ‘Niamh Quinn’ for the eps & vocalist 'Eviette'. Again, its synth wave/80s inspired. Please stay tuned for further updates. Everyone, this week's FEATURED ARTIST OF THE WEEK is the very talented  singer-songwriter, musician  & producer JELLY CLEAVER JELLY CLEAVER Please introduce yourself I’m a singer-songwriter, jazz guitarist and producer. I’m also an activist and this really influences my music and the lyrics I write. I love lots of different genres so have quite an eclectic style and like to throw myself into different music scenes. When mixing you need to create space. It's so easy to keep adding different instruments when recording. However, when it comes to mixing you'll probably end up with 2 or more instruments fighting for the same frequency. So what do you do? Well, Firstly it depends on the instruments. Sometimes you may have to be harsh & think: "Do i really need these 2 parts or can i mute one (or even delete)?" This is what i normally do. Now maybe you're thinking: "What about using EQ?" Or "Why not use panning?" Yes i could use these tools. However is this additional sound going to add anything to the mix? Is this part necessary? If not, then im afraid the part either gets muted or deleted. A few days ago i was recording some vocals, for a middle 8 (on a new song).
